This week we celebrate the fiber arts as we play around with FABRIC & YARN! Yay!!
It’s also Earth Day on Wednesday so we’ll be honoring Mother Earth, too. Many of us are spending time decluttering and cleaning out closets. This week we’ll use some of our old clothes for fabric collage, or cut up our worn-out t-shirts to make yarn! A loom for weaving can be made from cardboard, a Y-shaped branch, or even a tree stump with nails.

Get ready to wrap, weave, and repurpose this week as we explore fabric and yarn while learning at home. You’ll notice once again that like all of our weeks, many of the daily activities center around things you have in your house, and could easily be repurposed for creative activities with your children.
We’ll be getting active with hammers and flower printing on Monday…
Practice counting with weaving and yarn wrapping on Tuesday…
Switching things up with an Earth Day celebration on Wednesday…
Spinning silly tales (tails!) with animal portraits on Thursday…
And play with yarn and tape for process art Friday!
