the best summer art camp ideas for kids

Summer is in full swing over here! As some parts of the world are in the middle of winter (which I can’t fathom), I know this list of ideas will come in handy for indoor creativity as well.

I teach art camp at my house all summer. I make long lists of crafts and activities to do with the kids so I thought I would share them with you today. What makes these ideas even more special is that they all come from this group that I’m in called the Rockin’ Art Moms. We are 20 creative mom bloggers with so much collective talent. We have Pinterest boards on Art for Kids, DIY, Sensory and Holiday ideas. And we also have a Facebook page. Follow along for daily inspiration!

And now without further ado, my favorite art camp ideas…

The easy weave bracelets are so pretty! Everything about it says summer and fun. I’ll try this project with my kiddie cousins, they’ll surely enjoy being creative.

What a very extensive and interesting list of projects to keep children occupied. In addition it helps them to build their creative side. Thank you for all your hard work putting all this together. So much better to do things like this instead of sitting in front of the TV or Video Games. Parents do have to be involved.

I love these ideas so much that we will have to use them at our summer camp. We are a horse and arts summer camp and I think these will work out great! I think the campers will love them and they are easy for the counselors to supervise!
