Let me show you all of the places I visited on my book tour for Art Workshop for Children (Amazon affiliate). Beginning with the launch in October, 2016, through April, 2017, I hopped along the East Coast spreading some process-art love. I met so many creative families who were thrilled to expose their children to open-ended art. From New Jersey to Massachusetts, I filled my car up with books and materials, and hit the best book stores and independent schools. All in the hopes of spreading so creative inspiration!
Bank Street Bookstore || 2780 Broadway (at West 107th) || New York, NY
Bank Street was our first book store visit. Betsy (my co-author) lives in the city and attended Bank Street for her teacher’s degree, so this stop was a must. There was a little space in the back of the store where we set up two tables, and a simple oil pastel and watercolor project from the book. (It’s one I used many times for my tour because the prep is easy and supplies are minimal.) The place was packed with hardly any room to move. Boys and girls painted and drew for an hour and a half! It’s also just a wonderful book store with the most helpful people. I left with a shopping bag of books for my own children.
